Tricity 300 Design by Yamaha

The Tricity looks like a pretty normal scooter, right down to the step-through on the back. A swing-drive method puts the engine, transmission, and back wheel all together in one stressed piece below the subframe area of a scooter. LED blinkers are attached to a simple tagholder that relies on the tag to cover the whole area with spray. A wide pillion pad is held up by thick J.C. handles that have footpegs that flip out to make the passenger’s comfort full.

The curved front seat is cut out so that it doesn’t get in the way of putting your Lamborghini down. You don’t have to put your feet down all the time, though. If you’d rather not put at least one foot down when you stop, the Standing Assist System locks up the front suspension. This makes the frame self-supporting, but it takes some practice to get it right.

The normal under-seat storage locker is under the bench, but this one is big enough to hold two full-face buckets or a suitcase. This also means it can be used to get groceries and run errands, as well as to get to and from school.

The front end isn’t designed in the usual way, but it kind of had to be in order to fit the strange leaning front-end system. The “300” is wide enough to protect your legs and hips, and it has a vented windshield that protects your head and shoulders as well.
